About

She lives it. He reads the trials.

Unlock Plate and Unlock Strong are built by a husband and wife: one of them going through midlife, the other an orthopedic surgeon who checks every claim against the research.

Photo slot: Lori, then Darin, then the two of them. Ordinary light, kitchen and gym. Headshot pair for podcast hosts.

Lori Allred

Lori is 52, in the middle of perimenopause, and the first user of everything on these sites. She is the reason the program reads like a person instead of a textbook: the protein pancakes on Sunday, the egg bites in the fridge, the printed sheet on the counter. Her rule for the writing is that if she would not say it out loud, it does not go in.

Darin W. Allred, MD

Darin is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has spent twenty years fixing what happens when muscle and bone quietly leave: the falls, the broken hips, the knees that got worse for no reason. He flies himself to five small towns in Nevada and Wyoming to see patients. He wrote the science page, sets every number on this site, and reviews it against the literature. His conflict of interest is disclosed in plain words: the programs are his, and he gives them to his own patients free rather than sell anything in an exam room.

The rules these sites run on

  • Plain language. If a sentence needs a second read, it gets rewritten.
  • Every claim is cited on the science page, and if it is not cited we do not say it.
  • No supplements sold, no subscriptions, no before-and-after photos, no countdown timers, no invented testimonials. There are no customers to quote yet, and inventing one is the one mistake that cannot be walked back.
  • Nothing crosses over from the clinic. No patients, no X-rays, no "someone last week". Quiz answers never touch a medical record; they never leave your browser.
  • The same protein rule on every site with our name on it: 0.7 to 1.0 g per pound of ideal body weight.
